High school students from the Institut de la Bisbal d’Empordà visit the Nexes business incubator and Sa Tuna company
On May 12, first-year high school students from the Institut de la Bisbal d’Empordà, enrolled in the Business Operations and Economics course, took part in an educational visit to the Nexes business incubator in Vulpellac and the Sa Tuna company, which is based there.
The visit began with a talk by Quim Gudayol, director of Nexes, who introduced the students to the world of entrepreneurship and explained the role of business incubators in supporting new business ventures.
Afterward, the founders of Sa Tuna —former students of the same school— shared their entrepreneurial journey. They spoke about how the company was born from a high school research project, and described its development, internal organisation, and the gin production process. The students toured the facilities, learned about the company’s activities, and asked questions about its growth, challenges, and future goals.
It was an inspiring and valuable experience that gave the students real insight into what it means to start and run a business.
